The McLeod Street Twin Clutches are a top-shelf clutch with extreme power handling capability, streetable engagement, long life and a reasonable price tag. This MIBA lined clutch is a twin disc metallic, push-type clutch, and is rated to support approximately 1500 Horsepower within the Viper's normal rev range. The MIBA Series clutch facings are not to be confused with their much less capable sibling, the organic series. The MIBA clutch facings are also rebuildable by McLeod after if has exceeded its service life.
The Street Twin is available with either a Steel or an Aluminum Flywheel. Steel is recommended for drag racing and street use due to the ease of starting from a dead stop or up inclines. Road racers may prefer the aluminum flywheel due to its quicker shifting abilities.
These clutches are perfectly usable with the OEM slave cylinder, and in fact, feel nearly identical with regard to pedal stroke as the OEM clutches, but with slightly higher pedal pressure.
